View Tutorial💡 Tips for Good Results
We have tested our service extensively and found it to be very robust. However, our results can be significantly affected by the quality of the input PDF file that you upload for scoring.
📄 Scanning Tips:
- Ensure the scanned PDF file pages are neither too dark nor too light. Sometimes, your school's copy machine may have lighter settings. Fine-tune it until you get good results.
- If you find any filled-in grading sheet where the student put too many stray marks or made the grading sheet crumpled, consider scoring it manually instead of scanning through the document feeder.
✏️ Student Tips:
- Encourage students to fill in the header part (e.g., name, period, grade, etc.) clearly and in uppercase where applicable. Student handwriting can sometimes be difficult to read.
- Students should not use mechanical pencils — regular #2 pencils work best.
- Encourage students to fill the bubbles completely.
🚀 Getting Started:
When you are just starting to use our service, consider using it initially for one of your smallest classes — perhaps for a weekly quiz. Fine-tune the process, let the students get used to it, and then add other classes.
📋 About Our Plans:
- Bubble-only service: Students can still fill in header fields, but our service will only score the bubbles and enter scores for each question in the CSV file. The CSV file will have blank header fields for the teacher to fill in manually.
- Full service (bubble with header reading): Our system will read the header information and include it in the CSV file automatically.
Since our service supports 5 to 50 questions and multiple answer options (ABC, ABCD, and ABCDE), we hope you can use it in a wide range of situations — homework, weekly quizzes, tests, or exams. We hope you will find our service useful!
Please feel free to provide us your feedback so that we can use it to guide our future releases.
