📋 General Questions

Edgion AI is an AI-powered grading system designed for educators. It consists of two modules: a Grading Sheet Generator that creates custom answer sheets, and a Scoring Module that automatically grades scanned answer sheets and exports results to CSV.

Edgion AI is designed for educators at all levels:

  • K-12 teachers
  • Community college instructors
  • University professors
  • Tutoring centers
  • Test prep organizations

Anyone who administers multiple-choice assessments can benefit from our automated grading system.

Based on our records, it takes approximately 3-4 minutes to score a class of 30 students. This includes the AI processing time after you upload your scanned PDF. The actual time may vary depending on the number of pages and questions.

No installation is required. Edgion AI is a web-based application that runs in your browser. You just need:

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
  • A printer to print grading sheets
  • A scanner or scanning app to create PDF files

📝 Grading Sheets

You can create grading sheets with 5 to 50 questions. This range covers most quiz and test formats used in educational settings.

You can choose from three answer option formats:

  • ABC - 3 options per question
  • ABCD - 4 options per question (most common)
  • ABCDE - 5 options per question

The Answer Key ID is a unique 4-digit code that links your grading sheets to your answer key. When you generate sheets, you create an ID (like "1234"). Later, when you create an answer key and score sheets, you use the same ID to match them together.

Use a different Answer Key ID for each different test you create.

No. Our scoring system is optimized for our specific format.

📊 Scoring & Results

You can include up to 40 students in a single PDF upload. For larger classes, simply split the scanned sheets into multiple PDF files (e.g., students 1-40 in one file, students 41-80 in another) and score each file separately.

Results are exported as a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file, which can be opened in:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Google Sheets
  • Apple Numbers

Each row contains a student's information, individual answers, total score, and percentage.

Our header reading feature works best with clearly printed names. If a name is misread, you can easily correct it in the CSV file after export. We always recommend educators review the output before finalizing grades.

Our AI scoring system is highly accurate when students properly fill in bubbles with dark marks. For best accuracy:

  • Have students fill bubbles completely
  • Use dark pencil or pen
  • Ensure clean erasures for changed answers
  • Scan at 300 DPI

We always recommend educators review results before finalizing grades.

Yes, you can update your answer key before scoring. If you've already scored sheets with an incorrect answer key, simply correct the answer key and re-upload the PDF to get updated results.

🔧 Technical Questions

We recommend scanning at 300 DPI (dots per inch). This provides good quality for accurate reading without creating unnecessarily large files. Higher resolution (400+ DPI) is not necessary and may slow down uploads.

Upload your scanned sheets as a PDF file. All pages should be in a single PDF document. Most scanners and scanning apps can create multi-page PDFs automatically.

Yes! You can use mobile scanning apps like:

  • Adobe Scan
  • Microsoft Lens
  • CamScanner
  • Google Drive (built-in scanner)

Make sure to scan all sheets into a single multi-page PDF and ensure good lighting and a flat surface for best results.

Yes, we take security seriously:

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • We use Google Cloud Platform's secure infrastructure
  • Scanned documents are automatically deleted after 1 day
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties
